Acceptable Use Policy

THIS ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY GOVERNS YOUR USE OF SETWAR AND DEFINES PROHIBITED CONDUCT AND CONTENT.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service and sets forth the rules and restrictions governing your use of SetWar and related services provided by Pixel Reef, LLC ("Pixel Reef," "we," "us," or "our"). This AUP applies to all users, content, and activities on our platform.

By using SetWar, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination without notice or refund. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation in our sole discretion.

1. General Principles

SetWar is designed to help game masters create engaging, creative, and appropriate content for tabletop role-playing games. We expect all users to:

  • Use the service responsibly and in good faith
  • Respect the rights and safety of others
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Follow community standards and guidelines
  • Report violations when encountered

We aim to foster a positive, inclusive environment for all game masters while protecting intellectual property rights and preventing harmful or illegal content.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use SetWar to generate, store, share, or distribute content that:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
  • Promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for illegal activities
  • Contains or promotes illegal substances, weapons, or contraband
  • Facilitates fraud, scams, or other deceptive practices
  • Involves money laundering, terrorism financing, or other financial crimes

2.2 Harmful or Dangerous Content

  • Contains detailed instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or dangerous substances
  • Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • Encourages dangerous activities or challenges
  • Contains graphic violence that serves no legitimate creative purpose
  • Depicts realistic methods of violence against specific individuals or groups

2.3 Sexual and Adult Content

  • Contains pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Depicts sexual content involving minors (real or fictional)
  • Promotes or facilitates sexual services or prostitution
  • Contains graphic sexual violence or non-consensual sexual content
  • Sexualizes minors in any way

Note: Mature themes appropriate for adult tabletop games are generally acceptable if not explicit or graphic.

2.4 Hate Speech and Harassment

  • Promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Contains slurs, derogatory language, or hate symbols
  • Targets specific individuals for harassment, stalking, or intimidation
  • Promotes supremacist ideologies or extremist groups
  • Encourages doxxing or sharing of private personal information

2.5 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
  • Contains substantial portions of copyrighted text, characters, or settings without permission
  • Reproduces proprietary game mechanics or content from commercial products
  • Uses trademarked names, logos, or branding without authorization
  • Violates licensing agreements or terms of use of other platforms

2.6 Spam and Malicious Content

  • Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Includes phishing attempts or social engineering attacks
  • Promotes pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or get-rich-quick schemes
  • Contains excessive promotional content or advertising
  • Includes misleading or deceptive information

2.7 Privacy Violations

  • Contains personal information of others without consent
  • Includes private communications or confidential information
  • Violates privacy rights or data protection laws
  • Attempts to collect personal information from other users

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not engage in the following activities while using SetWar:

3.1 Technical Abuse

  • Attempting to hack, compromise, or gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service beyond normal usage
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or algorithms
  • Circumventing rate limits, usage restrictions, or security measures
  • Interfering with or disrupting the service's operation or infrastructure
  • Attempting to overwhelm our servers with excessive requests

3.2 Account Abuse

  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limitations or restrictions
  • Sharing account credentials with others
  • Using another person's account without permission
  • Impersonating other individuals, organizations, or entities
  • Providing false or misleading information during registration
  • Selling, transferring, or sublicensing your account

3.3 Commercial Misuse

  • Using the service for unauthorized commercial purposes beyond the scope of your subscription
  • Reselling AI-generated content as your own proprietary work
  • Mass-producing content for commercial distribution without appropriate licensing
  • Using the service to compete directly with SetWar or similar platforms
  • Extracting data to train competing AI models

3.4 Community Violations

  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
  • Engaging in discriminatory behavior or hate speech
  • Disrupting community discussions or support channels
  • Spreading misinformation or conspiracy theories
  • Encouraging others to violate this AUP or our Terms of Service

4. AI-Specific Guidelines

When using our AI content generation features, you must:

4.1 Responsible Prompting

  • Use clear, appropriate prompts that align with the intended purpose of the service
  • Avoid attempting to generate prohibited content through indirect or coded language
  • Not attempt to "jailbreak" or manipulate AI models to bypass safety measures
  • Respect the creative and educational purpose of the platform

4.2 Content Review

  • Review all AI-generated content before use to ensure appropriateness
  • Take responsibility for the content you generate and share
  • Report any concerning or inappropriate AI outputs to our support team
  • Understand that AI-generated content may require editing or modification

4.3 Attribution and Ownership

  • Understand that AI-generated content may not be unique
  • Do not claim exclusive ownership of AI-generated content where inappropriate
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of others when using AI-generated content
  • Provide appropriate attribution when required

5. Enforcement and Consequences

5.1 Violation Response

When we become aware of potential violations, we may take the following actions:

  • Content Removal: Remove or disable access to violating content
  • Warning: Issue warnings and provide education about acceptable use
  • Account Restrictions: Temporarily limit account features or generation capabilities
  • Account Suspension: Temporarily suspend account access
  • Account Termination: Permanently terminate account access
  • Legal Action: Pursue legal remedies for serious violations

5.2 Factors in Enforcement

We consider the following factors when determining appropriate enforcement action:

  • Severity and nature of the violation
  • Intent and context of the conduct
  • History of previous violations
  • Impact on other users or the community
  • Legal requirements and obligations
  • User cooperation and response to warnings

5.3 Appeals Process

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by:

  1. Contacting our support team at support@pixelreef.org within 30 days
  2. Providing a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
  3. Including any relevant evidence or context
  4. Waiting for our review and response (typically within 5-10 business days)

6. Reporting Violations

6.1 How to Report

If you encounter content or conduct that violates this AUP, please report it immediately:

  • Email: abuse@pixelreef.org
  • Subject Line: "AUP Violation Report"
  • Include: Specific details, URLs, usernames, and screenshots if applicable

6.2 Good Faith Reporting

We encourage good faith reporting of violations but prohibit:

  • False or malicious reports
  • Harassment through repeated frivolous reports
  • Retaliation against users who report violations

6.3 Protection of Reporters

We protect users who report violations in good faith and will not tolerate retaliation. Reporter information is kept confidential to the extent possible.

7. Legal Compliance

7.1 Applicable Laws

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • Copyright and intellectual property laws
  • Privacy and data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Anti-discrimination and civil rights laws
  • Criminal laws regarding harmful content
  • Export control and sanctions regulations
  • Local laws in your jurisdiction

7.2 International Users

Users outside the United States must comply with both U.S. law and the laws of their own jurisdiction. Where conflicts exist, the more restrictive standard applies.

7.3 Law Enforcement Cooperation

We cooperate with law enforcement agencies and may report illegal activity or provide information as required by law or legal process.

8. Updates and Modifications

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in applicable laws or regulations
  • New features or capabilities of the service
  • Evolving community standards
  • Lessons learned from enforcement activities
  • Feedback from users and stakeholders

Material changes will be communicated through the service or via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
